Foundations for Life
Resilience, Confidence & Calm for Ages 8–18
An empowering process where your child can build confidence, resilience, and real-life skills — without having to sacrifice their joy, identity, or wellbeing.
What if your child had a calm, caring space to explore who they are — and real tools to handle what life throws at them?
They could build confidence, emotional resilience, and everyday life skills — not through pressure or performance, but through presence, trust, and gentle guidance.
You don’t have to wait for things to fall apart to offer meaningful support.
Instead, you can give them space to feel understood, steady, and strong — before the struggles grow too big to carry alone.
You know your child is capable, but the pressure is too much for their nervous system to hold alone- you will do anything to bring their smile back.
Our children are growing up in a world that moves fast and asks a lot. Even if they seem “fine” on the outside, you can sense the tension underneath — the self-doubt, the overwhelm, the silence when you try to help.
More and more young people are facing mental health challenges — quietly breaking down under the weight of expectations.
And without the right support, it’s easy for confidence to crack, connection to slip, and everyday life to feel like too much.
You don’t want to wait for a crisis. You want to equip them — gently, early, and in a way that respects who they truly are.
Gently moving from awareness to action – one step at a time.
Every child comes with their own strengths, struggles, and story. That’s why this space doesn’t follow a rigid formula — instead, your child will move through a calm, three-part process designed to support meaningful, sustainable growth:
1. Identify What’s Going On
Your child will begin by building trust and emotional safety. In this phase, they’ll learn how to tune into what’s not working, what’s weighing them down, and what’s making it hard to move forward.
With gentle guidance, they’ll begin to recognise their own thoughts, feelings, and habits — and start making sense of them.
Tools that support this phase: Calm & Cope Toolkit, Know Yourself Journal Practice
2. Explore What Works
Next, your child will explore practical tools that feel empowering and relevant to their everyday life.
They’ll learn how to work with their inner voice, set boundaries, understand social dynamics, and make clearer decisions — in a way that aligns with who they are and what matters to them.
Tools that support this phase: From Doubt to Power Framework, Own Your Strengths Solution
3. Integrate & Grow
Finally, your child will begin to apply what they’ve learned — using their new tools in real-life moments that once felt overwhelming.
They’ll practise problem-solving, self-reflection, and self-leadership — and start owning their ability to cope, choose, and grow forward with confidence.
Tools that support this phase: The Clarity to Action Map, Think + Grow Toolkit

Why Learn from Me?
I bring over 15 years of professional experience supporting children and families — with a background in social work, emotional wellbeing, and a career shaped by working in schools, communities, and family settings. I also bring the insight of lived experience — as a parent myself, and as someone who has navigated migration, cultural complexity, and the quiet weight of “doing it all” without a village. This dual lens shapes everything I offer: grounded support that meets both the emotional and practical realities of family life.
I have a trained eye for what’s often left unsaid. I can spot patterns children don’t yet have words for, and help parents recognise what might be missing — not through fault, but through sheer exhaustion, misalignment, or lack of support. My work brings clarity and calm to situations that feel tangled or heavy, using tools and guidance that are gentle, timely, easy and deeply effective.
Why Now?
Because emotional wellbeing doesn’t have to wait until things fall apart.
Because your child is already showing signs they need a little extra support — and giving them tools now could shape how they meet every challenge ahead.
Early support is a gift. It can ease tension, rebuild confidence, and plant the seeds for resilience, joy, and growth that lasts well beyond childhood.
This is for your child if :
This support is designed for children and teens aged 8–18 who are thoughtful, bright, and doing their best — but feeling overwhelmed, anxious, unsure or a bit lost as they navigate growing pressures.
It’s especially well-suited if your child:
- Struggles with confidence, self-doubt, or emotional ups and downs, and lacks practical tools to manage those feelings.
- Does not need traditional therapy or school-based support, instead will respond well to a calm, neutral space that feels safe and judgement-free.
- Is facing developmental changes and social pressures that are beginning to impact their mental health and overall wellbeing.
- Wants to build their life skills — including emotional regulation, decision-making, time management, and communication — with gentle guidance and support.
This program will equip your child to:
Through this work, your child will gain the confidence, emotional tools, and practical life skills they need to feel more in control of their world. They’ll learn how to express themselves, manage pressure, and use their strengths — so they can move forward with more confidence, clarity, and self-trust.

Testimonials
“We recently scheduled coaching sessions with Soumya for our son- which provided him with individual time and valuable space to process his thoughts and emotions.
He is now more open to forming new friendships while still acknowledging and missing his best friend, which shows a healthy emotional development.
We’ve also noticed a significant improvement in his ability to understand and articulate his feelings and in his anger management.
We are grateful for the positive impact the coaching sessions have had on him.”
– Swati Ranjith
“I recommend Soumya to any parent who feels their child needs more support thriving in a complicated world. Soumya is fabulous and she made a positive impact in my son’s life while managing to keep us (parents) a part of the process. In fact, communication was flawless with texts, emails, and phone calls alongside the Zoom sessions. Fabulous service, Super-Star coach.”

FAQ’s /
Things to Consider Before Enrolling
Q1. What if my child doesn’t want to talk — will this still help?
Yes. This space is designed to feel gentle, non-pressured, and emotionally safe. There are many ways to connect — through creative tools, quiet reflection, or practical strategies — and we move at your child’s pace. Talking is welcome, but never forced.
Q2. My child has tried therapy or counselling before — how is this different?
This work is more personalised, practical, and gently intuitive. I use a solution-focused approach that helps your child recognise what’s already working and build on their existing strengths.
I also bring a whole-system perspective, which means I consider your child’s emotional world, relationships, and cultural context — not just their behaviour. This support nurtures whole growth and development, meeting your child exactly where they are, at any stage of childhood or adolescence.
Many children who haven’t connected with traditional therapy find this approach more engaging, affirming, and easier to relate to.
Q3. Can I stay involved as a parent?
Yes — with your child’s consent, I offer gentle check-ins or progress updates to help you feel informed and supported. This space is for your child, but you are very much part of the wider support circle.
Q4. What kind of issues does this work well for?
This support is ideal for children navigating confidence dips, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, self-doubt, friendship struggles, or general pressure to “hold it all together.” It’s preventative and growth-focused — not crisis management.
Q5. What if I’m not sure whether 6 or 12 sessions is the right fit?
We can start with 6 sessions and reassess. You’ll get a sense of whether your child is ready to continue, and we’ll stay in conversation about what support looks like as things unfold.
Q6. What age range is this support for?
This offering is designed for children and young people aged 8 to 18. The tools and approach are always adapted to the child’s stage of development — whether they’re in primary school or preparing for university or college transitions.
Q7. Are there situations where this support might not be the right fit?
This space is best suited for children who are self-aware and open to gentle guidance — those who are beginning to experience emotional, social, or personal challenges, and would benefit from a calm, reflective space to explore them.
It’s not designed for children in acute crisis or experiencing ongoing behavioural distress that may require clinical intervention. If that’s the case, I’m happy to help you find a more specialised support option.
Q8. Will my family’s cultural background be respected and understood?
Yes. I bring lived experience of navigating multiple cultural identities, and I understand the unique tensions that can arise when children are growing up between worlds. This space honours your family’s values and story — while helping your child find their own grounded sense of self within it.
