Meet Soumya
Empowering Children and Parents to Thrive…
Hello! My name is Soumya…
The beginning of my journey…
I pursued my education in social work to gain a deeper understanding of how individuals and families interact with each other and their communities. I have more than 15 years of experience working with families and children in various settings. I have seen the struggles and challenges parents and children face in today’s world, and being a parent myself I deeply connect with their struggles and triumphs. Through my work in social work, I have learned the importance of listening, empathy, and connection when it comes to helping others.
My journey as a life coach began in 2021 with a strong desire to help children and parents manage their day-to-day and significant challenges. I started by working with parents who had lost their jobs during the pandemic and were having a hard time coping with their new reality as both a parent and a provider. As I supported these parents in navigating through their challenges, I realized the immense impact coaching could have on families. This ignited a fire in me to continue supporting families in this way and pursue my passion for helping parents and children thrive in the modern world.
As a mother myself, I know the joys and challenges that come with raising a child. I love being a mother, but I also know how exhausting it can be, especially during the early years when unexpected challenges arise. Through my own journey, I have learned to figure out and understand both myself and my child’s needs while juggling all of life’s demands. As a parent, my dream is to see my child navigate life with all the tools and resources necessary to protect her mental health and thrive in the world. As a life coach for parents and children, I use my personal and professional experiences to connect with other parents and support them in their own journey.
In my coaching sessions, I provide a safe and supportive environment for children to share their challenges and explore effective coping strategies. Together, we work on finding their strengths and utilizing appropriate resources for early intervention in mental health concerns and other challenging areas of their life.
Additionally, I support families in navigating cultural diversity and changes in family dynamics. My aim is to equip children with lifelong tools and resources to prioritize their mental health, boost their self-worth, and stay connected with their true selves.
Living my dream…
My approach to coaching is grounded in my personal experiences and learnings from my career, helping children and parents find their inner strength and connection in this modern world. I believe the parent-child relationship is one of the most significant relationships that shape a child’s well-being. As a coach, I adopt a collaborative and person centered approach to develop personalized strategies and techniques to achieve their desired goals.
My coaching style is rooted in empathy, understanding, and active listening. I take the time to listen to each individual’s story, their unique challenges, and strengths. Then, we work together to identify personalized tools and techniques that can help them navigate their challenges and achieve their desired goals.
I am here to support you on your journey towards a more fulfilling parenting experience.
