I have always been curious about how family system works. The first system we belong, we are bound together by our shared DNA. Most people love their family and would do anything to stay connected and support their family.

With my background in Social Work and now trained in systemic/ family constellations approach, I have worked with children, adolescents, parents & families throughout my 17 years of professional journey.

As a mother and professional, I am keen to share my personal lived and professional experience to help parents explore new perspectives about family life. I believe as parents when we are able to break unhealthy systemic patterns, our future generations will live their life fully as it comes to them – a gift.

  I honestly didn’t know what to expect but my curiosity drew me towards working with Soumya.
I felt quickly at ease as she held space for me to explore and work through a tough phase within my family system.
I was more than impressed with the outcome. I left feeling as if something had shifted. I felt lighter and had clarify on direction.
The very same day, I noticed I was  more connected and congruent, as if a huge barrier which has been there for far too long, had been removed.
The next day, I booked a family holiday which I had previously been putting off due to negative feelings but I felt totally motivated to arrange this time together.
Working with the resources was fun and made it easier to understand others’ perspectives and determine what is needed moving forwards.
I’m completely happy that I chose to work with Soumya and would recommend her to anyone who is curious and open to explore their problems.

  Soumya worked with my son who was struggling with high anxiety levels , finding school difficult and not wanting to leave the house alone. She built a positive relationship with him and she engaged with his interests in sessions, which got him talking. From this he worked on small goals to manage his anxiety and build his confidence. The approach worked and the experience was positive for him.

Soumya can connect with children at their developmental level making the strategies easy for them to adopt.   I struggled with mental health issues for some time before realising I needed support. After learning about Soumya through her positive work with my family members, I decided to reach out for help. Following just one session with her, I noticed a significant difference. Encouraged by the initial progress, after a month or two I set up follow-up sessions. She suggested how many sessions I would need based on her assessments. We agreed on a time and she set them up. She was in touch with me regularly to check on me and coordinate my sessions.

Throughout our sessions, Soumya introduced me to various techniques for managing my emotions, such as the Feelings Wheel and prioritising relationships with loved ones. She skilfully identified emotional triggers I hadn't considered before. By the end of our sessions, I felt more equipped to handle my anxiety and emotions, feeling a newfound sense of self-control.

Soumya created a safe space for me to open up, creating an environment free of judgment. I always felt heard and received valuable guidance that met my needs. What sets her approach apart is the flexibility she offers; she enabled me to seek her advice as needed, without creating a sense of dependency. Her goal was to equip me with the tools to navigate challenges independently, rather than depending on her guidance forever.

  My 1:1 family constellation session with a Soumya was a beautiful experience. It allowed me to process and release some beliefs that were held in the family through generations. It was a lovely way to connect with family members and see their points of view. Soumya gently facilitated the session and guided the discussions in all the right directions. I enjoyed the fresh perspectives that I received from interacting freely with family members through this approach despite them not being physically present. There was deep healing as well as a release of emotions and responsibility that I was carrying on behalf of others. I would recommend this session for anyone who has family wounds that need releasing and healing.
