Are you a therapist or counsellor?
I’m not a therapist or counsellor, I’m a life coach for children and parents. Unlike therapists and counsellors who focus on healing past traumas and diagnosing mental health issues, my focus is on helping children and parents navigate their current challenges and move forward towards their goals.

As a life coach, I help children and parents identify their strengths and resources, and develop the tools they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their desired outcomes.

My coaching approach is centred on the present and the future, providing support, guidance, and solutions for personal and family challenges to create a more fulfilling life for both children and parents.

How do you help children and parents through my coaching?
As a coach for children and parents, I provide a safe space for children and parents to share their worries and problems that may be having a negative impact on life. I help children and parents to discover tools and resources that will be helpful for them to use and apply with ease whilst navigating any challenges.

Additionally, my work with parents helps to gain confidence, understanding and awareness for parents to support themselves and their children.

How do I know if I need to work with you as a coach for my child, myself, or both?
As a coach, my focus is on helping both children and parents reach their goals and overcome challenges. Depending on your unique situation, you may benefit from individual coaching sessions for yourself, sessions for your child, or a combination of both. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns and goals in detail, and together we’ll determine the best approach to meet your needs. Whether you’re seeking support for your child, yourself, or your family as a whole, I am here to provide guidance, support, and practical strategies to help you create positive change and achieve your desired outcomes.
How many sessions will my child or I need with you?
As every individual and their needs are unique, it is difficult to provide a definite answer. The number of sessions required can vary depending on the nature and complexity of the issue and the client’s response to coaching. Some clients may find resolution in just a few sessions, while others may require a longer-term commitment. During our initial consultation, we will discuss your specific situation and create a tailored plan that suits your needs.
Do you have to sign up for my session after the exploratory call?
After an exploratory call, there is NO obligation to sign up for a coaching session. The purpose of the call is to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Some parents and children feel aligned with my coaching style and choose to move forward, while others may need more time to make a decision or decide that coaching is not for them. If it is determined that I am not the best fit for your needs, I will provide recommendations and signpost you to other professionals who may be better suited to work with you.
What is your educational qualification and background?
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and have over 16 years of experience working with children, parents, and families in various projects focused on providing support and resources to navigate life challenges. My work involved collaborating with multiple agencies and utilizing modalities such as solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mental health training, and a systemic family approach. I continue to update my knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development opportunities to better serve my clients.
