Hello! I’m Soumya, a seeker of balance, meaning, and deep human connection. My name, rooted in Sanskrit, means peaceful, gentle, and amiable— and I’ve come to live those qualities through life’s most complex and tender moments.
I’ve lived many lifetimes in one, each teaching me invaluable lessons about family, connection, and growth. Growing up in a small South Indian village, I was immersed in the traditions of family and community, yet always felt the pull to carve out my own path.
At 16, I made the difficult decision to prioritise my mental health over societal expectations. That choice set the course for everything that followed, teaching me to trust my intuition. It led me to social work, where I could help others navigate their own challenges.
A new chapter began when I moved to the UK, excited for a fresh start but also missing home. I quickly secured a job but found adjusting to a new country and culture more challenging than expected. With no familiar support system, it was tough, but over time, I built the connections and resources I needed to thrive.
In 2010, I stepped into motherhood and chose to leave my job to focus on my daughter’s health. Those eight years were life-changing for all of us. The bond we shared grew, but so did the weight of parental isolation. I realised how crucial support for families truly is. In navigating this journey, I built new communities, reinforcing my belief that modern families need more than survival—they need to thrive.
Something had to change. I found myself juggling between me, my health, my family, my ambition, my birth family, and my dreams. The constant strain led to mental and physical exhaustion, and after losing my father in 2019, I was forced to confront what my body had been trying to tell me all along. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease—perhaps the universe’s way of telling me to slow down.
This was the turning point. It made me realise that I didn’t have to give up on what truly mattered—family, health, and purpose—but I had to align my energy in a way that supported my life rather than depleting it. I stepped out of traditional employment and leaned on my lived experience and professional background to build a practice that supports families, guiding them to thrive in ways that feel aligned and sustainable.
I built a practice that now aligns with my life — where my ambition lives and my purpose feels fulfilled.
Today, I guide families through transitions, helping them navigate modern-day pressures while staying true to their values. I support children in expressing their emotions and empower individuals to reconnect with their authentic selves, slow down, and find balance. Through a systemic lens, I help identify patterns that no longer serve them, fostering self-awareness and strengthening family connections, so they can live fully and harmoniously.
I’ve learned that balance doesn’t mean sacrifice. It means creating a life filled with clarity, capacity, and calm—a life that feels truly aligned with who I am.
Aligned with my purpose: Shaped by Study, Mentorship & Life Itself
From the start, I knew I wanted to help. This strong sense of purpose led me to study subjects that aligned with my true calling—purpose and service.
I began with a BA in English Literature, Economics, History, and Home Science—blending storytelling, critical thinking, cultural understanding, and everyday wisdom. This foundation helped me understand both the inner world of people and the systems that shape us.
In 2005, I earned a Master’s in Social Work, specialising in Medical and Psychiatric work, family work, and counselling modalities. This training deepened my understanding of families, societal structures, and the care sector, grounding me in ethics, anti-oppressive practice, and diversity.
Over the years, I worked with children, families, and parents under immense pressure, always focusing on protection, collaboration, and wellbeing. These experiences taught me to listen beyond behaviour, see the full picture, and walk alongside families with empathy and clarity. This approach continues to shape my work today, using a systemic, strengths-based lens.
With over 15 years of experience in family practice, schools, communities, and local authorities in the UK, I’ve built a systemic lens that guides my work, honouring both the strengths and struggles of families.

Systemic Family Constellation Work (2023-2024): Learning to see families and their stories through a deeper lens, recognising inherited patterns and generational dynamics.
This work has profoundly changed how I see myself and my role in holding space for families. Through Systemic Constellations, I’ve learned that beneath every challenge lies a deeper story, often rooted in generational dynamics.
I am deeply grateful for the mentors and teachers who have guided me. Their wisdom and support continue to shape my journey, and I remain committed to ongoing professional development, supervision, and reflective practice.
Books that shaped my journey…
Two books that have deeply shaped my worldview are The Choice by Dr. Edith Eva Eger and The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim. One taught me about the quiet power of choosing our path even through pain. The other reminded me that peace often lives in the moments we pause to truly notice. Together, they gave language to what I sensed — that calm, clarity, and joy often come when we slow down and listen deeply.
I am here to support you on your journey towards a more fulfilling parenting experience.
